Racing Incidents

After being stalled, ULTRASONIC (J.Fortune) was restless and not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

INCENTIO (Satish Nayak) hooked one of his hind legs on the side platform. The gelding was taken out and re-stalled.

Near 1000 metres ULTRASONIC (J.Fortune) shifted in and carried VICTORIA FALLS (Neeraj Rawal) inwards, who shifted in and jostled YELLOW ZONE (A.Sandesh). Travelling some distance further, ULTRASONIC shifted in and inconvenienced YELLOW ZONE. Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated in the matter.

Passing 200 metres ULTRASONIC (J Fortune) shifted in under the use of whip and went on to YELLOW ZONE (A.Sandesh). ULTRASONIC (J.Fortune) continued to shift in and caused QUE SERA SERA (Kavraj Singh) to shift in, who in turn caused interference to TRISARA (S.Zervan). Shortly thereafter, ULTRASONIC  shifted out under the use of whip and took the running of VICTORIA FALLS (Neeraj Rawal).  As such, Jockey J.Fortune  was reported to the Stewards for Careless Riding.

The Stewards interviewed Jockey J.Fortune and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him, held him guilty of careless riding on his mount ULTRASONIC. However, considering that he had admitted his mistake of having used the whip the second time when the filly had started shifting in, and had apologized for the same, the Stewards took a lenient view and decided to only fine him a sum of Rs.10,000/- . Further, he was warned to be more careful in the future.

Jockey Kavraj Singh (QUE SERA SERA) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

After the race, VICTORIA FALLS was found to be sore by the right hind leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, ULTRASONIC was found to be sound.
