Trainer Altaf Hussain reported that Jockey Prabhu Naidu (ARABIAN LORD) weighed out at 54 kgs which was half a kilo over the published weight and he was not agreeable for the Jockey to carry an over-weight since the Jockey had confirmed that he would ride at or lower than the published weight. As such Jockey Prabhu Naidu was replaced by Jockey S.G.Prasad and this being Jockey Prabhu Naidu’s second offence of similar nature, his Jockey’s license has been suspended w.e.f. 6^th March 2014 to 9^th March 2014 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race).

At the start, MATEUS ROSE (Dashrath Singh) ducked-in.

Approaching 1000 metres, MATEUS ROSE (Dashrath Singh) shifted-in and in the process went across the heels of CONCORDE (P.Trevor) and clipped and stumbled.

Near 600 metres, HOLIDAY DANCER (Altaf Sayyed) was tightened while racing on the inside of WASABI (Y.S.Srinath) and while losing position caused MORALS (D.K.Ashish), who was following HOLIDAY DANCER,  to be steadied. Jockey Y.S.Srinath has been cautioned.

MORALS (D.K.Ashish) was denied a clear run in the straight.

Jockey D.K.Ashish (MORALS) reported that his mount hung-in during the race. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

Jockey Ishwar Pardeshi (NATALIAN EXPRESS) has been fined Rs 2,000/- for not persevering with his mount in the straight.

Jockey Malcolm Kharadi (WALK OF LIFE) has been fined Rs 3,000/- for not persevering with his mount in the straight.

After the race, NATALIAN EXPRESS, SAMAY BALWAN, HOLIDAY DANCER, CONCORDE, WALK OF LIFE, MATEUS ROSE (examined on 14/02/2014) and MORALS (examined on 14/02/2014) were found to be sound.
