At the start, BEYOND HORIZONS (S.Mosin) jumped out awkwardly.

TO THE MOON (B.Nikhil) ran erratic in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

ARAVALI (J.H.Christopher) lugged-out in the straight. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

Jockey S.Mosin (BEYOND HORIZONS) reported that he lost his left rein a few strides before the winning post. Since the filly had lost the race in a photo-finish and this incident may have cost the filly the race, the matter was reported to the Stewards for such action as deemed fit.

The Stewards considered the above matter and having heard Jockey S.Mosin as also Trainer Sanjay Kolse and having viewed the video recording of the race, were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey S.Mosin and held him guilty of incompetent riding, wherein he had lost the reins in the final stages of the race, which, by his own admission, had cost him the race. The Stewards noted that BEYOND HORIZONS was a fancied runner, however, keeping in mind that the horse had returned from the race with a cut injury at the left fore coronet, they took a lenient view in the matter and decided that should he apply for a Jockey’s license for the Season 2014/15, the same may be granted to him, however, his Jockey’s license shall stand suspended for 24^thJuly, 2014 (permitted to ride work/mock race). Further, he was severely cautioned for the future.

After the race, BELLA FIGURA was found to be sore by the right hind leg. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, BEYOND HORIZONS was observed to have a cut injury at the left fore coronet. TO THE MOON, SLEUTH and ARAVALI were found to be sound.
