An objection was lodged by Jockey Dashrath Singh, rider of DRACO (Placed Second) against MELINDA (A.Sandesh, Placed First). The reason being, MELINDA shifted out in the last one and half furlongs and bumped him twice and unbalanced his horse, which cost him a certain race.

After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned as also Mr.Bezan Chenoy, Trainer of DRACO, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards  and relying on their judgment, the Stewards upheld the objection and revised the order of placing of the race as under :

DRACO                          -           FIRST;             SOUL CENTRIC                       -           THIRD;

MELINDA                     -           SECOND;         KANDINSKY                -           FOURTH.

The Stewards after the last race interviewed Jockey A.Sandesh for careless riding on his mount MELINDA and not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by him, decided to suspend his Jockey’s license for 14^th January, 2015 (permitted to ride work/mock race).

After the race, MELINDA was found to be sound.
