At the start, NIGELLA (T. S. Jodha dr. 3) jumped out leaning outwards due to which LIMEKILNS (J. Chinoy dr. 4) and WIZARD OF ODDS (Amyn Merchant dr. 5) shifted out on to MANNEQUIN (R. Vaibhav dr. 6) who had to be steadied.
 
At the start, JAQK (App. Vishal dr. 9) and SANSA (App. Yash Narredu dr. 8) shifted in and out respectively and bumped each other, due to which JAQK (App. Vishal dr. 9) was observed to have stumbled.
 
Approaching the 1200 metres, SQUASH (App. S. A. Amit) shifted out tightening LIMEKILNS (J. Chinoy), thereafter SQUASH shifted in on to DIABLO (Malcolm Kharadi) who was tightened along the rails.
 
App. Yash Narredu (SANSA) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit. On questioning, App. Yash Narredu stated that his mount was hanging in and he had used the whip as a corrective measure. As such no action has been initiated.
 
Jockey S. P. Ranjane (BAY OF LOVE) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
 
After the race, SAMURAI was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
 
The Sr.V.O. reported that WIZARD OF ODDS was examined at the stables in the morning on 13/03/2016 and found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, RESILIENT, JAQK and DIABLO were trotted and found to be sound.
