After being stalled, MATHAIYUS (Y. S. Srinath) hooked its right hind leg on the side platform and in the process of unloading him, the bridle of the gelding was displaced. The same was re-applied and the gelding was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race. After being re-stalled, MATHAIYUS once again hooked its right hind leg on the side platform. The gelding had jammed its right hind leg and with substantial effort he was taken out and observed by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him unfit to race, as such, MATHAIYUS was withdrawn from the race before coming under the Starter’s Order.  Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

After being stalled, the Jockey of MRS PATMORE (Beuzelin Louis) requested to have the surcingle on his mount checked. The filly was taken out and the surcingle was checked and adjusted after which the filly was restalled.

The Sr. V.O. reported that after being loaded in the gate, MATHAIYUS played up and put his right hind leg on the side platform. In the process of unloading the gelding from its stall, the bridle on him got displaced which was then re-applied. The gelding was examined and was certified fit to race. After being reloaded, the gelding again put his right hind leg on the side platform awkwardly and got hooked. The Starting gate staff had to take the leg down from the side platform with difficulty. The gelding was taken out and was certified unfit to race.

BOLD MARCH (Dashrath Singh) played up after being stalled. The gelding was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

At the start, SERJEANT AT ARMS (A. Sandesh, dr. 8) jumped inwards onto GERNANICUS (Imran Chisty, dr. 7) who in turn shifted in onto SUPREME GENERAL (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 6).

Soon after the start, WINTER RENAISSANCE (C. S. Jodha) shifted in and went across  HIGHLAND BREEZE (N. S. Parmar) Jockey C. S. Jodha has been cautioned.

Passing 2200 metres, LUCAS (Colm O’Donoghue) veered out towards the outer railings and stopped galloping and did not complete the race. Trainer Nazak Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures and to show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race before next accepting with him to race.

Jockey C. S. Jodha (WINTER RENAISSANCE) has been fined Rs.3,000/- for having used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

Jockey Beuzelin Louis (MRS PATMORE) has been fined Rs.3,000/- for having used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

Jockey David Allan (HALL OF FAMER) has been fined Rs.5,000/- for having used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

Jockey David Allan (HALL OF FAMER) has been cautioned for having raised his hand as a victory sign before passing the Winning Post thereby allowing his mount to shift out and cut across the other runner soon after the finish.

The Sr. V.O. reported that MATHAIYUS was examined after the race at the Saddling Enclosure and was observed to be sound.

SUPREME GENERAL (P. S. Chouhan) was placed fifth and SALAZAAR (P. Trevor) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.
