At the start, BETWEEN THE WATERS (C. S. Jodha, dr.4) jumped inwards and made contact with TRIPLE THREAT (App.B. Nikhil, dr.3). Thereafter GOLD FIELD (App. D. R. Shubham, dr.5) shifted in due to which BETWEEN THE WATERS (C.S.Jodha) was tightened for room and dropped back.
 
Passing 250 metres, TRIPLE THREAT (B. Nikhil) was observed to have broken down and stopped galloping. The Sr.V.O. reported that TRIPLE THREAT broke her right fore fetlock.  The mare was euthanized on humane grounds after obtaining consent of the Trainer.
 
From the 200 metres JOPLIN (P.S.Chouhan) was observed to be inclined outwards. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.
 
An objection was lodged by Jockey C.S.Jodha, the rider of BETWEEN THE WATERS (Placed Second) against JOPLIN (P.S.Chouhan, placed First). The reason being, on jump out TRIPLE THREAT (App.B.Nikhil) owned by the same owners, bumped him twice and took his ground with his horse’s head towards the left, obviously trying to give easy passage to JOPLIN by virtue of which he lost his position to almost last, had to cover 5 to 6 lengths coming on the outside which cost him a certain race.
 
After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection and forfeit the deposit.
 
After the race, PRINCESS P was trotted and found to be sound.
