Racing Incidents

On arrival at the start, TAR HEEL was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at the request of the Jockey and was certified fit to race.
 
In the process of being backed in, TAR HEEL reared up and fell backward dislodging the rider. The gelding was again examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified him fit to race. Thereafter, TAR HEEL refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts, as such, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures and show the gelding in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting with him to race.
 
Approaching 600 metres, WESTERN FRONT (David Egan) was observed to have jostled with TIMELESS DEEDS (Dashrath Singh). Thereafter, WESTERN FRONT shifted out thereby inconveniencing TIMELESS DEEDS. Jockey David Egan has been fined Rs. 2,000/-.
 
Passing 200 metres, WESTERN FRONT (David Egan) leaned inwards on to POLYNEICES (P. S. Chouhan) and was steadied.
 
After the race, TIMELESS DEEDS was trotted and found to be sound.
