Soon after the start, QUEEN O’ WAR (N. S. Parmar) shifted in before the red marker thereby tightening and inconveniencing PRIDE’S ANGEL (C. S. Jodha) causing the latter to check and drop back and inconvenienced BIRKIN BLOWER (P. Trevor). As such, Jockey N. S. Parmar has been fined Rs.5,000/-. Passing the 350 metres, PRIDE’S ANGEL (C. S. Jodha) was observed to have change course for no apparent reason. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly. In the final stages of the race, Jockey S. Zervan (RAMBLER) was observed to have lost his reins momentarily. Jockey S Zervan has been cautioned. An objection was lodged by App. P. Vinod, the rider of SKY FALL (Placed Second) against NOTHING TO WORRY (Bhawani Singh, Placed First). The reason being, coming into me 100 metres from home and squeezing me thereby not giving me room to ride my horse when my horse was responding, I had to check my mount at a crucial stages where my horse lost his stride and cost me the race. After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to over-rule the objection and held Jockey Bhawani Singh guilty for careless riding. After the race, QUEEN O’ WAR was observed to have broken a blood vessel second time during the current Mumbai Meeting 2021/22 and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of eight weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race. After the race, RAMBLER, BIRKIN BLOWER & EXCELLENT GOLD were trotted and found to be sound. DESERT FIRE was trotted at the stable area on 4/4/22 and was found to be sound. |
