Racing Incidents

At the request of Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait, PYRRHUS was examined in the stable area at 12:10 pm on 14/01/2023 and was found to be lame by left fore and swelling on medieval of right hind hock, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
HAGIBIS (R. Shelar, dr.5) took a fly jump at the start.
 
At the start, NORTHBOUND (S. Zervan, dr.6) jumped inwards thereby bumping HAGIBIS (R. Shelar, dr.5) thereafter FLASH FORCE (S. P. Ranjane, dr.7) leaned in thereby tightening NORTHBOUND.
 
Soon after the start, DAZZLING PRINCESS (Amyn Merchant) and SKY HAWK (P. Trevor) shifted in and went across the field before passing the red marker. Jockey’s Amyn Merchant and P. Trevor have been fined Rs.2,000/- each.
 
Passing the 1100 metres, SNOWFALL (A. Sandesh, dr.12) shifted in and went across EYES ON THE PRIZE (Bhawani Singh, dr.9) who had to be steadied. Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.
 
Passing 300 metres, DEMETRIUS (N. B. Kuldeep) shied away from the whip and had to be steadied. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, EYES ON THE PRIZE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, COMMANDMENT was observed to have broken a blood vessel (2nd time) and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of eight weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
 
After the race, MONARCHY, SKY HAWK and NORTHBOUND were trotted and found to be sound.
