Racing Incidents
Trainer Mr. S. Ganapathy was fined Rs.500/- for making an error in the declaration of weight in respect of his charge BADGE OF GOLD. Jockey Vivek, the rider of ROYAL AMBASSADOR, reported that he lost his whip approaching the 300 Metres. The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey S.A. D`Souza to the Stewards for the excessive use of the whip on his mount WOMAN ON TOP during the race (3rd infringement). The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey S.A. D`Souza. After deliberations, they decided to suspend Jockey S.A. D`Souza from riding in races from 14-1-2008 to 18-1- 2008 (both days inclusive) for the excessive use of whip on his mount WOMAN ON
