Racing Incidents
Jockey Saleem Golam, the rider of ABLE ASSOCIATE, had to check his mount to avoid clipping the heels of TIMELESS TREASURE (K.P.G. Appu) approaching the 500 Metres. Jockey C.D. Hayes, the rider of DESERT RULE, reported that his saddle shifted forward passing the 1600 Metres and that he bumped on the saddle a couple of times between the 900 and 700 Metres to correct the position of the saddle, thereby he could not offer sufficient assistance to his mount and had to travel wide throughout the race. In view of the above incident, trainer Mr. R.R. Byramji was fined Rs.2,000/- for faulty saddling on his charge DESERT RULE.
