Racing Incidents
Jockey Harish, the rider of WAY TO FANTASY, was fined Rs.3,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to the horses on the outside viz. NEARCO MASTER (Md.Shafiq) and ROYAL ZEN (S. Chandrashekar) approaching the 250 Metres. Jockey D. Mahendran, the rider of GALVANIZE, reported that his mount was running green in the straight. Jockey Wayne Smith, the rider of PINAAKINI, was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (2nd infringement). ROMANCE IN THE AIR (Imran Chisty) sustained a bleeding injury on right fore cannon. Jockey Wayne Smith the rider of PINAAKINI was questioned regarding his riding. The jockey stated that the horse did not have any early pace and only made ground in the straight when taken outwards and also opined that the horse prefers a longer distance.
