Racing Incidents
Jockey K.P.G. Appu, the rider of SEGOMO, was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting in and inconveniencing BURNING AMBITIONS (N. Rajesh) on his inside approaching the 250 Metres.
It was observed that Jockey N. Rajesh, the rider of BURNING AMBITIONS momentarily lost his right rein approaching the 300 Metres which he regained within a few strides and in the process he came out and inconvenienced SEGOMO (K.P.G. Appu) on his outside.
The Stipendiary Stewards reported Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh, the rider of SUKANTI to the Stewards for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii)) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount in the above race. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and examined trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj, Mr. S. Marshall, spokesman for Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh and Jockey V.R.Jagadeesh himself. After deliberations they decided as follows:
(a) to note the explanations tendered by trainer Mr. B. Prithviraj
(b) should the Jockey's Licence be granted to Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh for the season 2011-2012 the same shall remain suspended from 11-5-2011 to 18-5-2011 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding (Rule No.161(ii)) of the BTC Rules of Racing) on his mount SUKANTI in the above race (permitted to ride work).
