Racing Incidents

Permission was granted to trainer Mr. Hidayat Khan to withdraw AMBER STAR on veterinary grounds as it was found to be trotting lame on left fore due to injury on frog. He was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was reported after the race that SMART EDITION burst its blood vessels. Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

MIGHTY MONARCH (B. Nayak) apparently hit the base of the false rails upright and stumbled dislodging its rider passing the 1000 Metres. On immediate examination by the Club's Veterinary Officer it was found to have sustained fracture of left shoulder. Hence it was euthanized.

Jockey S. Mallikarjun, the rider of SILVER SCEPTRE, was fined Rs.1,000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).
