ARTORIUS and ROYAL SAROT were slowly away.

INFLUENCE  was extremely fractious, reared up and flipped over at the starting gates.  On immediate veterinary examination it was found to be lame on left hind due to sprained quarter and was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter’s orders.

FEET ON FIRE jumped awkwardly outwards and inconvenienced WIND SURFER soon after the start.

Jockey V.R. Jagadeesh (ROYAL SAROT) reported that as the gates opened his mount brushed the gates and as such he lost both his stirrups which he regained in the first 50 Metres.

It was reported after that the race that the left fore shoe on SCARLET O’HARA had apparently come off.

CALLIGRAPHY sustained a cut injury on right hind cannon.

FEET ON FIRE sustained a cut injury on right hind cannon.

SCARLET O’HARA sustained a cut injury on left hind cannon.
