Jockey M. Kumar, the rider of PERFECT KING, was fined Rs.3,000/- for travelling wide throughout the race for no apparent reason.

Trainer Mr. G. Nityanand was questioned regarding the improved performance of his charge RICH REVIVAL as compared to its previous run in Race No.135 of the Bangalore Winter Meeting 2015-16 run on 16th January 2016 wherein the horse was not on board. The trainer informed that this horse had recently come under his charge and its first run was in Race No.101 under his charge where it finished 3rd. Thereafter he ran the horse in Race No.135 and it ran poorly. He noticed that before the Race No. 135 he had given sufficient work and possibly that may not have suited the horse since prior to Race No.101 horse was given light work and it ran a decent race. Therefore on this occasion he kept the gelding fresh by giving less work. Further he also changed the pattern of running since in the previous run the horse was in front bunch and ran poor. Therefore he instructed the Jockey to ride off the pace in the early part of the race which suited the horse and came out and won with longer odds. He informed in future he will give similar instruction for this horse. The explanations of the trainer was noted. However he was cautioned for not informing the change of pattern of running of his charge prior to the race.

VIGOROUS (Suraj Narredu) was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
