ANANTARA (Y. S. Srinath) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on left hind. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Sandhu G. was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of SUMMERHILL was fined Rs.1,000/- for shifting out and causing interference to CZAR RULE (M. Prabhakaran) passing the 300 Meters.

Jockey M. Prabhakaran, the rider of CZAR RULE was fined Rs.2,000/- for not exercising sufficient control over his mount thereby allowing his mount to shift 'in' whereby the rider of ROYAL DEFENCE (A. Imran Khan)  had to stop riding in the final 100 Meters.

Jockey P. Trevor, the rider of SUMMERHILL was fined Rs.3,000/- for the excessive use of whip on his mount during the race (1st infringement).

Trainer Mr. S.S. Attaollahi was questioned regarding the relatively inconsistent performance of his charge SUMMERHILL as compared to its previous run in Race No.48 of Bangalore Winter Meeting 2016-17. The Trainer stated that:

a)   his charge was very keen in its previous start and did not respond in the straight;

b)   his charge was inconvenienced between 400 and 300 Meters in its previous start;

c)   he had used Basket Bit on his charge as it was very keen in its previous start and

d)   he also added that his charge was running after a gap of one month.

His explanations were noted for future reference.
