It was observed that PROUDPRINCE (G Sai Vamshi) accidently brushed the rails passing 1000 Meters during the race.

Jockey Nitin Singh, the rider of AS GOOD AS IT GETS reported that his mount stopped galloping in the final 200 Meters of the race. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.

Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad and Jockey K. Raja Rao were questioned regarding the running and riding of ARTORIUS.

The Trainer stated that:
(a)he had asked his rider to ride from forward position or if there were faster horses to ride from the mid bunch and do his best in the straight;
(b) his charge had performed poorly in all its previous three starts;
(c) his charge was a difficult ride and needed strong handling as it  had won when ridden by David Allan however at that time it was not under him;
(d) he was satisfied with Jockey K. Raja Rao’s handling as it had improved and finished fourth on this occasion.
 
The Jockey corroborated the statement of the trainer and added that his mount was hesitant to pass the other horses in the last 200 Meters.
 
The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination by the Club’s Veterinary Officer it was reported to have burst its blood vessels (Endoscopy Grade – IV). As such no action was initiated by the Stipendiary Stewards into the running and riding. However, Trainer Mr. Faraz Arshad was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Surprise Sample was taken for analysis from ch g ARTORIUS.

Routine Sample was taken for analysis from the winner b g ONLY PRINCE.
