DESERT GOLD (P. Trevor) was examined at the starting gate by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on left fore. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. M. Rajendra Singh was informed that he must produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was observed that Jockey Arshad Alam, the rider of HAFNIUM had to steady his mount approaching 900 Metres due to the crowding of the field.

After noting the explanations of both Trainer and Jockey with a very grave benefit of doubt, the trainer was severely reprimanded for unsatisfactory explanations and Jockey was fined Rs.3,000/- for not sufficiently persevering with his mount after entering the straight.

Jockey Irvan Singh, the rider of ZAFRINA reported that the saddle shifted forward passing the 900 Metres as such he could not offer much assistance thereafter. After due examination of the equipment, Trainer Mr. K.P.G Appu was fined Rs.3,000/- for faulty saddling of his charge.
