Racing Incidents

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr. Irfan Ghatala to withdraw BOLD MOVE (R. Vaibhav) on veterinary grounds as it was found to be lame on right fore. He was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

An enquiry was held on 31st January, 2020 by the Stipendiary Stewards for the above race where Jockey Shamaz Shareef, the rider of WHIZZO shifted out sharply under use of whip and caused severe interference to POSEIDON (Darshan R.N), which in turn passed it onto MOHICAN (Nazerul Alam) on his outside passing the 200 Metres.
Jockey Shamaz Shareef was interviewed by the Stipendiary Stewards. The Stipendiary Stewards after considering the submissions made by Jockey Shamaz Shareef. After viewing the CCTV they decided to charge Jockey Shamaz Shareef for Careless Riding Rule No. 161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing.
The Stipendiary Stewards thereafter suspended Jockey Shamaz Shareef with effect from 10th February, 2020 to 27th February, 2020 (both days inclusive) as he had pleaded guilty of the charge for Careless Riding Rule No. 161(i) of the BTC Rules of Racing on his mount WHIZZO. (He is permitted to ride work and was informed of his right to appeal).

Jockey Mohd Asif Khan, the rider of ALEEF reported that his mount was not galloping fluently after entering the straight. The horse was subjected to veterinary examination but no abnormality was reported.
 
It was reported after the race that BLUEJACK (V.R.Jagadeesh) pulled up lame on left fore. Trainer Mr.M. Rajendra Singh was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.
