CAPABLE (Naveen Kumar. V) reared up, flipped over at the gate and was examined by the Club's Veterinary Officer and was found to be trotting lame on right hind. Under the circumstances, it was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under Starter's order. Trainer Mr. Sharat Kumar was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

It was observed that Jockey Ryan Marshall, the rider of PHOENIX SURPRISE was dislodged from his mount approaching 900 Metres as he was severely interfered between STATESMAN (G Sai Vamshi) and GRIFFIN (Anjar Alam).

STATESMAN (G Sai Vamshi) was subjected to veterinary examination and was found to have sustained bruise on right hock inside.

An enquiry was held on 10th January, 2021 by the Stipendiary Steward for the above race into the interference caused by Jockey Anjar Alam on his mount GRIFFIN in that he shifted ‘in’ and caused severe interference to PHOENIX SURPRISE (Ryan Marshall) on his inside, whereby Jockey Ryan Marshall was dislodged from his mount approaching 900 Metres. Jockey Anjar Alam was interviewed by the Stipendiary Steward. The Stipendiary Steward after considering the submissions made by Jockey Anjar Alam and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey Anjar Alam for Dangerous Riding. The Stipendiary Steward thereafter suspended the Jockey’s Licence granted to Anjar Alam with effect from 20th January, 2021 to 13th February, 2021 (both days inclusive) as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Dangerous Riding on his mount GRIFFIN (he was permitted to ride work) and was informed of his right to appeal.

Jockey G. Sai Vamshi was interviewed by the Stipendiary Steward. The Stipendiary Steward after considering the submissions made by Jockey G. Sai Vamshi and after viewing the CCTV decided to charge Jockey G. Sai Vamshi for Dangerous Riding. The Stipendiary Steward thereafter suspended the Jockey’s Licence granted to G. Sai Vamshi with effect from 20th January, 2021 to 13th February, 2021 (both days inclusive) as he had pleaded guilty of the charge under Rule No. 161 (i) of the BTC Rules of Racing for Dangerous Riding on his mount STATESMAN (he was permitted to ride work) and was informed of his right to appeal.
