Racing Incidents

Permission was granted to Trainer Mr.Mahmood Khan to withdraw STARRY WIND (Md.Akram) on veterinary grounds as it was found to have swelling on right fore cellulitis. He was informed to produce a Fitness Certificate from the Club's Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

Jockey Mohammed Aliyar, the rider of DEBONAIR was severely reprimanded for not wearing goggles at the start of race. However, it was observed that he managed to pull it down approaching 900 Metres.

Trainer Mr. Pradeep Annaiah and Jockey A.R.Pradeep were questioned with regards to the running and riding of AIR BLAST. The trainer stated that he had instructed the jockey to ride from the forward position and do his best in the straight. The Jockey while corroborating the statement of the trainer added that his mount took a fly jump as such he could not adhere to the trainer instructions. However, he did his best but could only finish third. Their explanations were noted for future reference. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination. On examination, it was found to have sustained superficial injury on right hind fetlock.
