Racing Incidents

Jockey C.Umesh the rider of SHIVALIK was fined a sum of Rs.1000/- for shifting in soon after the start onto EXCEED AND EXCEL (Akshay Kumar) who in turn shifted in and caused a check to OVER LORD (Tanveer Alam).

Jockey S.S.Azad the rider of OPEN OFFER was observed to use the whip in an improper manner and unbalancing his mount after travelling about 50 metres after the start for which he has been fined a sum of Rs.1000/-. He was further questioned for taking a long lead to which he informed that the trainer had instructed him to take a lead of atleast 5 lengths and then settle his mount.

When questioned trainer A.D’silver he confirmed that he had instructed the jockey to take the lead by about 5 to 6 lengths since this horse is a one pace horse. Explanation was noted for future reference. Jockey Janardhan Paswan informed that he was not able to do the declared weight on WOLF ROCK and trainer A.Rahmathulla declared him without confirming the ride. Therefore, Trainer A.Rahmathulla was fined a sum of Rs.3000/-. Jockey K.V.Baskar was permitted to be substituted on WOLF ROCK.
