Permission was granted to trainer Craig Marshall to saddle Horse No.2. NICARAGUA (A.Sandesh)
and Horse No.5.IMPLICIT TRUST (David Allan) for trainer S.S.Attaolahi at both trainer’s risk and
liability.

IMPLICIT TRUST (David Allan) was slow to start losing about 2 lengths. An objection was lodged by Jockey S.John the rider of SEA KING placed second by the Judge against Jockey Suraj Narredu the rider of REUNION the winner stating” from the 200 metres he kept coming in and bumped me at the 150 metres when my horse was full of running and further came in where I had to stop riding 50 metres before the post hence i lost a certain race”.
The Stewards after the race interviewed both the jockeys, viewed the CCTV replay of the race couple of times with different angles and decided to uphold the objection and ordered the revised placings as under,

Winner - SEA KING
Second - REUNION
Third - NICARAGUA
Fourth - CHIEF OF COMMAND

Further Jockey Suraj Narredu was fined a sum of Rs.25,000/- under Rule 161(i) of the Madras Race Club Rules of Racing for Careless riding on his mount REUNION wherein he persisted with the use of whip on the left in the straight and did not make efforts to correct his mount before shifting in and caused interference to SEA KING at about the 150 meters resulting in SEA KING (S.John) got unbalanced.
