Racing Incidents

MEDOVIK (Shahar Babu) was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds, lame on right hind due to sore right hock. Trainer Saddam Iqbal was asked to get his charge certified fit by the Club’s Veterinary Officer before accepting with it again.

STERN MAIDEN (K V Baskar) was slow to start losing about 2 to 3 lengths. Further the filly trailed the field and was asked to be examined by the Veterinary Officer who reported that no abnormalities were found.
Jockey B.Nikhil the rider of NICE TO SEE YOU reported the loss of whip at about the 350 meters.
Trainer K.S.Mandanna when questioned regarding the running and riding of WELCOME PRINCESS (C.Umesh) stated that this was the second run of her career and that the filly had worked well and he had fancied her to win the race, however she had lacked initial speed and needed a longer trip. Trainer’s explanation was noted.
