Racing Incidents

Jockey Akshay Kumar being indisposed he was permitted to be substituted by Jockey S Zervan on STAR WAVES (S Zervan).

BENIN BRONZE (Nazerul Alam) was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary Grounds, trotting lame on right fore due to sprained fetlock. Trainer Vishesh M.P. was asked to get his charge certified fit by the Club's Veterinary Officer before next accepting with it.

STERN MAIDEN (C Umesh) and WELCOME CHAKKARAM (Md  Farhan Alam) were slow to start losing about 3 lengths.

Jockey B. Nikhil, the rider of TRY HARD was cautioned for maintaining an erratic course in the straight.

Trainer B.Suresh and Jockey S Zervan were questioned regarding the running and riding of STAR WAVES,Jockey stated that as per Trainer's instructions he had taken a lead , kept at his mount and not given a breather at any stage whereby the colt tired in the straight, when questioned Trainer B.Suresh confirmed the instructions and stated that his colt was temperamental and would stop galloping if it were given a breather at any stage in the race and hence his instructions to hit the front maintain a lead and keep riding out. Trainer's explanation was noted for future.
