Racing Incidents
An objection was lodged by Jockey G.S. Shekhawat, rider of ASHWA PADDMA placed III by the judge against Jockey Sameer Khan the rider of ZABARDAST placed I in that “for whipping on his hand intentionally from 300 mtrs to 100 mtrs when his mount was picking up the momentum due to which he could not ride properly and lost a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race and interviewed the jockeys concerned. After deliberations and considering the recommendation of the Stipendiary Steward, the Stewards decided to overrule the objection and the security deposit was ordered to be refunded. App Jockey Sameer Khan rider of ZABARDAST was fined Rs. 1000/- for excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race. (I st offence during the meeting)
