Racing Incidents
An objection was lodged by Jockey Naresh Kumar the rider of MYSTERIO placed second by the Judge against Jockey Shadab Khan the rider ASMA placed first by the Judge for the alleged interference in that “coming in sharply and taking my ground inside the last 50 mts due to which I had to receive a check and stopped riding which cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an inquiry immediately after the race, interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on their own observation of the race the Stewards could not be satisfied that an alteration to the placings could be justified, therefore they decided to overrule the objection and ordered the Security Deposit to be refunded.
