Jockey M.I.Qureshi the rider of LILLY was severely reprimanded for making a celebratory gesture before the winning post. He was fined a sum of Rs.2000/- for the improper use of whip whereby after passing the winning post he did use the whip on his mount for no reason.

 

Trainer Mr.Zulfiqar Khan was questioned regarding the dismal performance of his charge EQUAL LUXURY (Shadab Khan) The trainer stated that he had given similar instructions as of its earlier runs in that to ride in mid position and do his best on entering the straight and further added that his charge is very ingenuine horse and does not run two races identical and very much satisfied with the riding of the Jockey Shadab Khan.

 

The Stipendiary Steward reported Jockey R.Parvesh the rider of ROAMING FAME to the Stewards for dangerous  riding in that approaching  800 mts he permitted his mount to shift inwards when riding it along and insufficiently clear of THE MAFIA (Sandeep Rajput) resulting in THE MAFIA being unbalanced being checked by its rider to avoid clipping the heels, in the process loosing its position.

 

The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey R. Parvesh and App. Sandeep Rajput. 

 

After hearing their statements, considering recommendation of the   Stipendiary  Steward  and relying upon their own observations based on the replay of the CCTV the Stewards  decided to suspend the Jockey’s Licence granted to Jockey R.Parvesh from riding in races  from 10th March,2012 to 26th March,2012 (both days inclusive) for dangerous riding on his mount ROAMING FAME in the above race  thereby contravening  Rule No 161 (i) of the RWITC Rules of Racing. He was permitted to ride work and not permitted to ride in mock races during the period of his suspension and advised of his Right of Appeal.
