An objection lodged by Jockey D.S.Rathore  the rider of  KOHINOOR BEAUTY placed third by the Judge against Jockey R Parvesh   the rider of CAPTAIN CONFIDENT placed first by the Judge for “ coming in  sharply and giving him a severe check approaching 900 mts  after which I had to check the mount and stopped riding and that cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were  satisfied that an alteration to the placings could not be justified. Therefore, they decided to overrule the objection. The Security deposit was refunded.

A Second objection lodged by the Owner of SADAJIT (Shafeeq Ahmed) under Rule No.192 (iv) unplaced by the Judge against App.Jockey Aqeed Waheed (REVENGEFUL KNIGHT) placed third by the Judge for “coming in sharply bumping my horse at 1100 mts due to which my horse got totally dis-balanced and lost considerable  ground and a certain place.” The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the owner, Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were  satisfied that an alteration to the placings could not be justified. Therefore, they decided to overrule the objection. The Security deposit was refunded.

Jockey R Parvesh the rider of CAPTAIN CONFIDENT was fined Rs. 3000/- for allowing his mount to shift in thereby causing an interference  to KOHINOOR BEAUTY (D S Rathore) approaching 900mts.

App.Jockey Aqeed Waheed the rider of REVENGEFUL KNIGHT was reported to the Stewards for careless riding in that soon after the jump out  he allowed his mount to  veer in sharply  from draw 14 and severely  bumping SADAJIT (Shafeeq Ahmed) who got unbalanced before passing the red marker post.

The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed App.Jockey Aqeed Waheed.

After hearing his statements, considering the recommendation of the Stipendiary Steward and their own observation based on the replay of the  CCTV and after due deliberations they decided to suspend  App.Jockey Aqeed Waheed from riding in races from  1^st January,2013 to 22^nd January,2013 (both days inclusive) for careless riding thereby contravening  Rule No 161 (i) of RWITC Rules of Racing. He was permitted to ride work during the period of his suspension and was advised of his right of appeal.
