An objection was lodged by Jockey T.S.Jodha rider of MASTER DJOKOVIC placed third by the Judge against Jockey Pawan Sharma  the rider of IMPERIAL ASSAULT  placed second by the Judge for “ coming onto me and bumping and taking me outside in the last 100 mts , I had to literarily stop riding out that cost me a certain place”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were  satisfied that an alteration to the placings could  be justified. Therefore, they decided to uphold the objection and revised the order of placings as under:-

MUMTAZ BEGUM                FIRST

MASTER DJOKOVIC              SECOND

IMPERIAL ASSAULT             THIRD

MAHIYA                                 FOURTH

Jockey Pawan Sharma the rider of IMPERIAL ASSAULT  was fined Rs.2000/- for suddenly shifting out taking the grounds of MASTER DJOKOVIC ( T S Jodha) travelling on his outside who fell back passing 100 mts from the post.

Trainer Magan Singh was questioned about the running of his charge IMPERIAL ASSAULT who stated that he instructed the jockey to go to the front and make his move from the final 500 mts, further stated that his charge was  running with BLINKERS  for the first time which could have been the reason for  running erratic throughout the race. Jockey Pawan Sharma confirmed the same, was noted. IMPERIAL ASSAULT was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s veterinary officer reported no apparent abnormality.
