An objection was lodged by Jockey Pawan Sharma the rider of UNO UNO UNO placed second by the Judge against Jockey Hashim Ali Khan the rider of MASTER FIGHTER placed first by the Judge for “ from last 250 meters onwards MASTER FIGHTER came in so sharply onto my filly and cut across sharply when I had to stop the filly from running to avoid a collision with the rails that cost me a certain race.”  

Second objection was lodged by Jockey Dilip Singh the rider of JAZBA against Jockey Hashim Ali Khan the rider of MASTER FIGHTER placed first by the Judge for “ at about 200 meters marker, the winner cut across so sharply.  I had to stop the mount from running to avoid a fall and that cost me a certain place.” 

The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were not satisfied that an alteration to the placings could be justified.  Therefore, they decided to overrule both the objections.  The Security Deposit was ordered to be refunded. 

App. Jockey Hashim Ali Khan  the rider of MASTER FIGHTER  was reported to  the Stewards after the last race for careless riding in that  he persisted in the use of the whip on the left and allowed his mount to shift in sharply passing 300 mts thereby crowding and causing severe interference to  UNO UNO UNO (Pawan Sharma)  who in turn shifted in and crowded  JAZBA (Dilip Singh) on the rails.

The Stewards held an enquiry and interviewed App. Jockey Hashim Ali Khan.

After hearing his statements, considering the recommendation of the Stipendiary Steward and their own observation based on the replay of the  CCTV and after due deliberations they decided as under:-

i)  Should Jockey’s licence be granted to App.Jockey Hashim Ali Khan    for the  Season 2013-2014, the same shall stand suspended  for a period of four race days for the careless riding thereby contravening  Rule No 161 (i) of RWITC Rules of Racing and Racing Calendar notification, RWITC. He was permitted to ride work during the period of his suspension and was advised of his right of appeal.   He was however, informed that the dates of suspension will be notified at a later date. 

MASTER FIGHTER was impounded for veterinary examination after the race and the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported no apparent abnormality.
