Permission was granted to Mr.Sartaj Singh to withdraw GOLDEN PRIDE  on veterinary grounds as the filly suffered  colic . He was informed not to accept with his charge until passed fit by the Club’s Veterinary Officer.

An objection was lodged by Jockey R.Parvesh the rider of BLACK PARTRIDGE placed third by the Judge against Jockey Hashim Ali Khan the rider of MASTER YUNANI placed second by the Judge for “ bumping, boring very badly and giving me a severe check intentionally between 150 meters to 100 meters. He also took my ground and even my mount also got clipped.  Therefore, I had to stop riding from 200 meters to 100 meters and that cost me a certain place.”

The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were not satisfied that an alteration to the placings could be justified.  Therefore, they decided to overrule the objection.  The Security Deposit was ordered to be refunded. 

Jockey Bhanu P. Singh the rider of GOLD MINE reported that soon after the jump out the saddle used on his mount slipped and thereafter he could not ride to his fullest as such Trainer A. Khan was fined Rs.2000/- for faulty saddling.

Jockey Hashim Ali Khan the rider of MASTER YUNANI, the winner  was fined Rs.5000/- for not making any effort to control his mount thereby allowing his mount to shift in approaching 100 meters crowding and causing interference to BLACK PARTRIDGE (R. Parvesh) who in turn went onto GOLD MINE (Bhanu Partap Singh), the latter receiving a severe check.
