An Stewards enquiry was ordered into the running and riding of ASHWA GAZNEE.

The Stewards called in and questioned Trainer H A Khan and jockey Hashim Ali Khan and showed the replay of the race.

After hearing their statements, considering the report of the Stipendiary Steward and of their own observation based on the replay of the race, the Stewards resolved to declare ASHWA GAZNEE a non starter under Rules of racing RWITC  and suspend Jockey Hashim Ali Khan with immediate effect  for gross misconduct pertaining to racing till pending enquiry and the revised order of placings are as under:-

                                     RACING KING        FIRST

                                     MISS BURBERRY    SECOND

                                     CHULBUL              THIRD

                                     MISS RAPUNZEL     FOURTH

Further the Stewards directed the Stipendiary Steward to delve into the case and report the findings at their next meeting.

In consequence of ASHWA GAZNEE being declared a non-starter a deduction of 40% on win and 50% on place bets was effected.

The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported MISS SHAKIRA had an injury on both hock and stifle  and INAZUMA was lame on left fore at the starting gates as such both the horses were withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders. Trainer A Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until passed fit by the Club’s Veterinary Officer. In consequence of MISS SHAKIRA & INAZUMA being withdrawn before coming under Starter’s orders a deduction of 10%   win bets and 30% on place bets were effected.

The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that CHULBUL returned with an injury on right hock after the race. Trainer Zulfiqar Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until passed fit.

Under the orders from the Stewards the urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner ASHWA GAZNEE  in the presence of Trainer  H A Khan and was sent for Analytical test.
