An objection lodged by Jockey C S Jodha  the rider of MISS SERENA  placed second by the Judge against Jockey Pawan Sharma the rider of THE MAFIA  placed first by the Judge for “ coming onto me at about 500 mts and giving me a severe check. I had to stop riding and that cost me a certain race”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were satisfied that an alteration to the placings could not be justified. Therefore, they decided to overrule the objection. The Security deposit was refunded.

Jockey S Raza the rider of MASTER VIRAT was directed to appear before the Stewards after the last race for careless riding in that at about 500 mts he  came onto the rails sharply crowding and causing severe interference to the horses travelling inside viz. THE MAFIA (Pawan Sharma ) and MISS SERENA (C S Jodha)

The  Stewards held an enquiry after the last race  and interviewed  Jockey S Raza.

After hearing his statements, considering the recommendation of the   Stipendiary  Steward  and relying upon their own observations based on the replay of the race the Stewards after deliberations decided to suspend the jockey’s licence granted to Jockey S Raza from riding in races for 29^th April 2014,  further should Jockey’s license be granted  to Jockey S.Raza  for the  Season 2014-2015, the same shall stand suspended for a period of one race day for careless riding on his mount MASTER VIRAT. He was further informed that the date of suspension will be notified at a later date. He was advised of his right of appeal and permitted to ride work.

The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that FLORI DE CAMA had a cut injury on right hock and Trainer S Nawab was informed not to accept with his charge until passed fit by the Club’s Veterinary Officer.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner THE MAFIA in the presence of Trainer H A.Khan and was sent for Analytical test.
