Jockey Pawan Sharma the rider of AHOY was called in and questioned about his riding. Jockey Pawan Sharma explained his instructions were encourage the gelding in the early part and do his best in the straight. He added that on jumping AHOY was a little slow into stride and had to encourage  the gelding little more than intended and negotiating the bend his mount was very keen and commenced to hang out from 600 mts  and he had difficulty controlling it on entering the straight. Jockey Pawan Sharma was advised he should ride in a manner that did not invite any questions. Trainer Magan Singh was advised to take remedial measures before accepting with his charge again. AHOY was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported no apparent abnormality.

Jockey Narain Singh the rider of AMAZING MAGIC GIRL was severely reprimanded for not sufficiently perserving on his mount during the race.
