Prior  to ‘ALL CLEAR’ being declared Jockey Rajinder Saini  the rider of   MISS CINDRELLA requested to view the race video with a view to considering  lodging an objection. After viewing the video Jockey Rajinder Saini decided to proceed with an objection and accordingly an  objection was lodged by Jockey Rajinder Sini  the rider of MISS CINDRELLA  placed fourth by the Judge against Jockey  Dhanu Singh Deora the rider of CHINGLISH   placed second  by the Judge for “ coming onto me and taking my grounds intentionally from the last 100 mts upto the winning post  due to which my filly got unbalanced and broke its strides as I had to stop riding and that cost me a certain place.”. The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Jockeys concerned and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were satisfied that an alteration to the placings could  be justified. Therefore, they decided to uphold the objection and revised the order of placings as under:-

                             GENTLEWAVE         FIRST

                             MISS SNOWHITE    SECOND

                             MISS CINDERELLA  THIRD

                             CHINGLISH            FOURTH

Jockey Dhanu Singh Deora the rider of CHINGLISH was fined Rs.3000/- in that just passing the 100 mts, he failed to make a sufficient effort to straighten his mount, thereby resulting in it shifting into the running of MISS CINDRELLA ( Rajinder Saini) when insufficiently clear. This resulted MISS CINDRELLA making contact and bumping into CASINO QUEEN (Shafeeq Ahmed) on his inside which had to be checked by its rider to avoid colliding with the running rails. He was further informed that he been advised, warned and also fined for causing interference and to desist from this carelessness riding failing which he shall be reported to Stewards for severe disciplinary action.

Trainer Sartaj Singh, when questioned regarding the performance of SHANE PUNJAB (Saddam Hussain) stated that as the pace of the race was quite fast in the early stages, his charge could not muster any speed and thereafter travelled well in middle stages. However passing the 600 mts, the filly failed to respond to the jockey’s riding and in his opinion disappointing over the concluding stages. Trainer Sartaj Singh expressed satisfaction with Jockey Saddam Hussain’s riding of his charge in the race. His explanation was noted.
