UNIVERSAL JOY (Arman Ali Jafri) was withdrawn on veterinary grounds as it sustained a cut injury on Right Hind. Trainer H A Khan was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to presenting for future trial or race. In consequence of UNIVERSAL JOY being withdrawan before coming under starter’s orders no deduction on win or place bets was effected.

Jockey Nazim the rider of DARIYADIL reported that his mount was “hanging out” and he had difficulty in controlling it and negotiating the bend it drifted out. Trainer Shakti Singh was advised to take remedial measures before accepting with it in a race.

Trainer Mallikarjun and Jockey R Yousaf were called in and questioned regarding the running and riding of AWESOME. Trainer stated that he had instructed the jockey to position 4^th/5^th and do his best on entering the straight. Trainer stated that the jockey had checked his mount soon after jumping out and did not follow his instructions. The jockey corroborating the trainers instructions stated that soon after jumping out of the starting gates his mount held the bit and did not respond to his urging and in his opionion there is some problem in its mouth. However, jockey R Yousaf was fined Rs.5000/- for failing to follow the Trainers instructions. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported no apparent abnormality. In view of the Club’s Veterinary Officer reporting that AWESOME  was observed no abnormality post race, Jockey R Yousaf was informed to desist from the practice of giving misleading statements.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner MY ABLAZE in the presence of Trainer Magan Singh  and was sent for Analytical test.
