Racing Incidents

Permission was granted to Trainer Ajay Sharma to withdraw NORTHERN STAR.

Trainer Magan Singh and App Jockey M B Qureshi were questioned regarding the running and riding of  COMPREHENSIVE. Trainer Magan Singh stated that he had instructed the jockey to sit 2nd/3rd and do his best on entering the straight. He also stated that the jockey had not followed his instructions. On questioning Jockey M B Qureshi stated that he was instructed to sit 2nd/3rd and do his best on entering the straight  and after jump out he made efforts to follow the trainer’s instructions but the horse was not galloping fluently. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported no apparent abnormality. However, not being satisfied with the jockey’s explanation he was fined Rs.5000/- for riding contrary to the trainers instructions .

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner MISS UNIVERSE  in the presence of Trainer  Rajinder and was sent for analytical test.
