Jockey G S Shekhawat the rider of ROSES ARE FOREVER reported that soon after jumping out of the starting gates his mount held its bit wherein he could  not control his mount thereafter it drifted out and galloped on the outer portion of the race track. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s veterinary Officer reported that ROSES ARE FOREVER returned lame on left fore during the race. Trainer Mallikarjun was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to presenting for future trial or race.

The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that  ROSES ARE FOREVER had  “Sharp molars” (injuries on both side of inner cheeks). Trainer Mallikarjun was advised to take remedial measures before accepting with it again in a race.

DAZZLING WAVE (M B Qureshi)  was slowly away and lost sufficient grounds at the start. Trainer  K P Singh was informed to give sufficient gate practice before accepting with it again in a race.

App. Jockey Arman Ali Jafri the rider of  SHANTIROOP reported that his mount refused to jump as the start was affected thereby it lost sufficient grounds. Thereafter it jumped out awkwardly whereby the right stirrup iron snapped, the jockey loosing his irons, and had to ride out without the aid of the stirrup irons.  The equipment was checked immediately after the race and found to have otherwise well maintained as such no action was taken beyond noting out the incident.  In view of its behavior Trainer H A Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Steward in a mock race on a race day on the race track.

The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that SHANTIROOP bled. In terms of RWITC Racing calendar notification the horse has been banned  from racing for a stipulated period of 4 weeks (1st time bleeder)  Trainer H A Khan was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to presenting for future trial or race. Compulsory urine sample was taken from SHANTIROOP in the presence of  Trainer H A Khan and was sent for analytical test.

ASHWA SONIKA planted and lost sufficient grounds at the starting gates. In view of its behavior Trainer H A Khan was informed not to accept with his charge until its behaviour improved to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Steward in a mock race on a race day on the race track.

Jockey T S Jodha the rider of DOT ON TIME  reported that approaching 800 mts he was taken out by Jockey R Parvesh the rider of MISS CINDRELLA on his outside.

Trainer I S Parmar and Jockey R Parvesh  were reported to the Stewards for the running and riding of  MISS CINDRELLA. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed trainer I S Parmar and R Parvesh. After hearing their statements, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and after due deliberations they decided to:-

1)    Fine Trainer I S Parmar a sum of Rs.25000/- for the unsatisfactory running of his charge MISS CINDRELLA in the above race.

2)    Suspend the jockey’s licence granted to R Parvesh from riding in races from 19th March 2016 to 18th April 2016 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding on his mount MISS CINDRELLA in the above race thereby contravening Rule No.161(ii) of RWITC Rules of Racing.  He was permitted to ride work during the period of his suspension.

Trainer and the Jockey were  advised of their Right of Appeal.  

MISS CINDRELLA was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s veterinary officer reported no apparent abnormality.

An enquiry has been opened into the improved performance and inconsistent pattern of running of PITBULL the winner of the above race  trained by S Nawab as compared to its last run in race No.201 THE BLUE ICE PLATE, A Handicap for Horses Rated 40-66(Dist- Abt) 1100 Mts on 23.2.2016 when ridden by Jockey Suresh Kumar where it was unplaced.

Urine sample was taken from the winner PITBULL  in the presence of  Trainer    S Nawab and was sent for analytical test.
