Trainer A Saulez was questioned regarding the poor performance of his charge as compared to its run in Race No.225  THE FRENCH SUITOR PLATE.DIV.II. A HANDICAP FOR INDIAN HORSES RATED 1 TO 26 (ABOUT) 1000 METRES. on 14th March 2014 wherein it was placed second. The Trainer stated that :-

i) After the race the jockey reported that his mount was not galloping fluently and in the final stages of the race he could not get a clear run.
ii) He was quite surprised of his charge opened as a firm favourite.
iii) His charge as a 6  years old, has only one win to its credit and a mediocre Horse.
On questioning Jockey Dashrath Singh the rider of ASHWA SUNENA reported that his mount was not galloping fluently throughout the race and could not get a clear run in the final stages of the race.

However, while noting down his explanations he was reminded of the norms for “in and out” running.
The horse was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s veterinary Officer reported no apparent abnormality.                                                

Jockey K Sunny Kumar the rider of MISS VENUS was fined Rs.1000/- for the excessive use of the whip on his mount during the race. (1st offence during the meeting)

Jockey S A Shah the rider of  VAILE ROUGE was fined Rs.2000/- for failing to report which has an affect about the running of his horse immediately after the race. He was further severely reprimanded for unnecessary shouting during the race.

Trainer H A Khan was called in and questioned regarding the improved performance of MOONLIGHT the winner of the above race as compared to its last run in Race No.219 THE CHINA VISIT PLATE.DIV.II. A HANDICAP FOR INDIAN HORSES RATED 1-26 (ABOUT) 1400 METRES on 8th March 2016 where it was unplaced. The Trainer stated that:-

i)    His horse as a 5 years old just cleared its maiden and won the above race.
ii)    After its last run in Race No.219 the jockey had advised for the equipment, so he used Blinkers.
iii)    After using blinkers during the morning track work his charge was performing well.
iv)    He had not fancied his charge for win and only fancied for minor placing.

His explanation were noted .

The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that TAZTEJSVI bled. In terms of RWITC Racing calendar notification the horse has been banned from racing for a stipulated period of 4 weeks (1st time bleeder). Trainer A Saulez was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to presenting for future trial or race.

Urine sample was taken from the winner MOONLIGHT in the presence of  Trainer H A Khan  and was sent for analytical test.
