Trainer Rajinder and Jockey Naresh Kumar were questioned regarding the running and riding of INDIAN OCEAN. Trainer stated that he had instructed the jockey to take good jump and do his best on entering the straight. He further  opined that Jockey Naresh Kumar had ridden to the instructions but in the last 100 mts of the race, he lost the reins, which is accidental in nature. On corroborating the trainer’s statements, the Jockey confirmed the instructions and stated that he had done his best and his reins slipped in the last 100 mts of the race wherein he could not ride out his mount. Not being satisfied with his explanations both the Trainer and the Jockey were reported to the Stewards. The Stewards held an enquiry after the last race and interviewed Trainer Rajinder and Jockey Naresh Kumar. While noting the explanations of Trainer Rajinder, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and after due deliberations they decided to suspend the jockey’s licence granted to Naresh Kumar  from riding in races from 21st November 2016  to 9th December 2016 (both days inclusive) for his incompetent riding on his mount INDIAN OCEAN thereby contravening Rule No.161(ii) of RWITC Rules of Racing.

He was advised of the right to his appeal. He was permitted to ride work during the period of his suspension.
Trainer M Ahsan and Jockey K Narender Kumar were called in and questioned regarding the inconsistent pattern of running thereby resulting in the improved performance of RACING KING as compared to its last run in race No.66 THE JAGUAR PLATE on 28th October 2016 where it was unplaced. Not being satisfied with his explanation he was reported to the Stewards after the last race. The Stewards after noting the explanation of trainer M Ahsan  tendered before the Stipendiary Steward resolved to fine Trainer M Ahsan  a sum of Rs.10000/- for the inconsistent pattern of running of his charge RACING KING resulting in improved performance in a short span of time.  He was advised of the right of his appeal.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner RACING KING  in the presence of Trainer  M Ahsan  and sent for Analytical test.
