DON’T TOUCH (Gurpreet Singh) was extremely fractious and refused to be loaded into the starting gates as such it was withdrawn before coming under starter’s order. Trainer Richpal Singh was advised to give sufficient gate practice to his charge before accepting with it again in a race.

Trainer S Nawab and Jockey Ramandeep Singh Bal were questioned regarding the running and riding of MASTER BADAL. Trainer stated that he had instructed the jockey to take a good jump, position 2nd/ 3rd and do his best on entering the straight. He further stated the jockey  had waited too much with his charge and rode out only approaching 150 mts when BIG ORANGE (Sameer Khan) running on strongly challenged his charge. Jockey confirming the instructions stated that he had done his best. Not being satisfied with their explanations they were reported to the Stewards, who viewed the CCTV replay of the race. Trainer S  Nawab was called in and on questioning stated that the jockey had ridden an over confident race. After due deliberations the Stewards decided as:-

i)    To give a benefit of doubt to Jockey Ramandeep Singh Bal at this instance
    with his nature of riding and fine him Rs.5000/- for repeatedly looking back
    for no apparent reason.

ii)    To accept the explanations tendered by S.Nawab and further fined
    Rs.2500/- for his negligence in presenting his charge MASTER BADAL
    to the race with “ wolf teeth”.

MASTER BADAL was impounded for veterinary examination and the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported it had “wolf teeth” on both sides.  Trainer S Nawab was  advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to presenting for future trial or race.

Jockey R Yousaf the rider of  SHESTHESCRIPT was cautioned for permitting his mount to shift in approaching the 500 mts wherein MISS ZACHARY (S Amjad Khan) galloping on his inside had to be checked by its rider.

The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that BIG ORANGE (Sameer Khan) sustained  cut  injury on his mouth. Trainer Richpal Singh was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to presenting for future trial or race.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner BIG ORANGE in the presence of Trainer Richpal Singh and was sent for analytical test.
