As Jockey C S Jodha could not arrive due to transportation issues hence,  permission was granted to Trainer Rajinder to substitute Jockey Akash Rajput to ride ENSIGN in place of Jockey C S Jodha the declared rider.

Jockey Dasrath Singh the rider of ASHWA ABHIRAJ was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift in approaching 200 mts with the use of whip whereby BIG NEWS (Arman Ali Jafri) galloping along the rails had to be checked and shift out for a clear run.

Trainer Mallikarjun and Jockey V S Gautam were called in and questioned regarding the running and riding of TAKE OVER TARGET. Trainer stated that:-

i)    His charge is habitually fractious in the starting gates wherein it is always held in the gates by a Handler.
ii)   In the above race the horse was not allotted a Handler hence his mount jumped awkwardly from the starting gate as the start was effected thereby losing some grounds.
iii)    He had instructed the jockey to position in mid field and ride out on the wide outside after straightening into home straight.
iv)    Under the circumstances of the race, he is quite disappointed with his charge’s performance more so no handler was allotted to his charge in the gates.

Jockey corroborating the trainers statements stated that under the circumstance of the race he had done his best. 

However, while noting down their explanations of the Starter, Trainer, Jockey V S Gautam was informed to make every effort to improve his riding skills.

On enquiring with the Starter, he stated that TAKE OVER TARGET is quite  fractious in the gates and normally a handler is allotted to be held in the gates and today he was not in a position to allot a handler due to shortage.
 
Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner BIG NEWS in the presence of Trainer Sartaj Singh and sent for analytical test.
