As Jockey Pawan Sharma  was certified medically unfit to ride, hence permission was granted to Trainer Raj Kumar Saini to substitute Jockey Gurpreet Singh to ride WANT TO LOVE in place of Jockey Pawan Sharma the declared rider.

Prior  to ‘ALL CLEAR’ being declared Trainer K Ali Khan requested to view the race video with a view to considering  lodging an objection. After viewing the video Trainer K Ali Khan  decided to proceed with an objection and accordingly an  objection was lodged by Trainer K Ali Khan the trainer of SEAHORSE  placed third by the Judge against  Jockey Mohit Singh the rider of REWALDING   placed second by the Judge  by for “ taking out SEA HORSE continuously  from 200 mts till the winning post thereby blocking his charge’s way and not allowing his Jockey Md. Habeeb to ride out properly and eventually took the ground almost near the winning post and crossed him and bumped badly made him to fell down.” The Stewards held an enquiry immediately after the race interviewed the Trainer K Ali Khan and Jockey Mohit Singh and after deliberations, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and based on the observation of the race the Stewards were satisfied that an alteration to the placings could be justified. Therefore, they decided to uphold the objection and revised the order of placings as under:-

             MISTER BEST                  IV

The Stewards continued their  enquiry after the last race and interviewed Jockey Mohit Singh. After hearing their statements, considering the opinion expressed by the Stipendiary Steward and after due deliberations they decided to suspend Jockey Mohit Singh for two race days for careless riding w.e.f. 4th March 2017 8th March 2017(both days inclusive)  in that from the 300 mts of the race, he  permitted his mount to shift out under the use of whip thereby inconveniencing  SEAHORSE on his outside and in the final stages of the race he further permitted his mount to shift out which resulted in SEAHORSE (Md Habeeb) clipping the heels of REWALDING , stumbled and the jockey dislodging from his mount.  He was  permitted to ride work during the period of his suspension. He was informed of right of his appeal.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner  IWIS in the presence of Trainer Magan Singh and sent for analytical test.
