SUB:- Veterinary examination report of horse ACRO POLIS

Sir

Horse ACRO POLIS (dk b c 4yr) ran in race no. 199/1 on date 7th march,2017 On examination after the race horse was found sound. Whereas dental /mouth examination was not possible at that time by the road side.

On 8th match the said horse was called to the equine hospital, On observation of the mouth, Premolars and molars had some sharp enamel points (usually seen most of the race horses ) this means slightly sharp molars and this is not going to effect the running performance of horse and are of no racing significance.

On examination of inside of mouth cavity chronic wounds (ULCERS) about one inch in size were seen on both sides of the buccal cavity mucosa, left side more deep, just behind the lip canthus, where the bit sits. Situations like this can suffer the mouth may cause pain and discomfort.

An enquiry has been opened into the running and riding of ACRO POLIS trained by K Ali Khan and ridden by Danish Ali Khan.

The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that HERNAMEISWIN returned lame on left fore after the race. Trainer Sartaj Singh was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to presenting for future trial or race.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner SARGAM in the presence of Trainer Zulfiqar Khan   and sent for analytical test.
