Jockey Md Habeeb the rider of MY GLORIA reported that his mount jumped awkwardly outwards from the starting gates.

JUST NICE (K Narender Kumar) was slowly away from the starting gates and loosing some grounds.

Trainer Magan Singh and Jockey G S Shekhawat were called in and questioned regarding the running and riding of KILLER. The trainer stated that:-

i)     As his charge has a history of suffering from blood vessel, hence he had instructed the jockey to position 3rd /4th, do his best in the straight, but not to  put undue pressure and not to make use of whip at all.
ii)   His charge after its run in Race No.119 on 13th December 2016 had suffered from blood vessel, hence had kept it in light work and only accepted it after satisfying himself.
iii)  The odds of the horse were high.
iv)  Under the circumstances and taking into consideration of the horse he is quite satisfied with the riding of Jockey G S Shekhawat.
v)  Jockey G S Shekhawat confirming the instructions stated that he had ridden according to the Trainers instructions and the horse was running after a long break and from suffering of blood vessels and that he had done justice to his riding under the circumstances.

Not being satisfied with their explanations Jockey G S Shekhawat was fined Rs.5000/- for not sufficiently persevering with his mount and Trainer Magan Singh was fined Rs.5000/- for not being given consistent instructions to Jockey G S Shekhawat and also failing to report to the officials the instructions given to Jockey G S Shekhawat which had a bearing on the running of the horse.

The Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that LOVELY GIRL bled. In terms of RWITC Racing calendar notification the horse has been banned from racing for a stipulated period of four weeks (1st time bleeder).  Trainer H A Khan was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required prior to presenting for future trial or race.

Urine sample was taken for analysis from the winner LIKE MY CHILD and LOVELY GIRL bleeder in the presence of Trainer Sangeet Charan and H A Khan sent for analytical test.
