Racing Incidents

Soon after the start, ENCHANTING LADY (S Amjad Khan) shifted in and tightened MISS DUNCAN and thereafter after travelling further again tightened MISS DUNCAN. Jockey S Amjad Khan has been fined Rs.2000/-

Jockey M I Qureshi (GALLOP AWAY) has been fined Rs.3000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. (1st offence during the meeting)

Jockey Syed Asgar (MASTER BOLT) was questioned regarding his riding. He stated that he was instructed to be in 4th/5th position and to do his best. Jockey further stated that he felt his mount to be uncomfortable during the race, hence he was not vigorous in his riding. The horse was impounded for veterinary examination the Club’s Veterinary Officer reported that gelding was found to be lame by its both the fore-legs. After questioning, Trainer Bharat T Singh was requested to submit the Logbooks in respect of his charge. The Trainer has been asked to obtain a veterinary certificate prior to presenting the gelding for any future trial or race. Since the horse returned lame after the race, no action was initiated against the Jockey. The scrutiny of the Logbooks did not reveal any discrepancy.

Jockey Irfan Ali (MISS DUNCAN) has been fined Rs.3000/- using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. (1st offence during the meeting)

BLAVATSKY was examined after the race and was found to be sound.

Urine sample from winner, ENCHANTING LADY, was sent for analytical test.
