Racing Incidents

At the start, MIDLEXESS (Nazim) was slowly away. The Jockey explained that his filly had leaned onto the rear Gates.

Jockey Ramandeep S Bal (MASTER JEFFERSON) has been fined Rs.3000/- for using his whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. (1st offence during the meeting).

Trainer Magan Singh and Jockey G S Shekhawat were questioned regarding the running and riding of GOLDEN COAST wherein the Jockey had let his mount run freely so much so that the mare dropped out from the race from about 450 metres. Trainer stated that the mare ran over 1400 metres race for the first time and being a fast horse, he had instructed the jockey to go to the front. He concurred with the Stipendiary Stewards that jockey should not have set such a fast pace while in front and the mare was tired coming into the straight and dropped out. Jockey G S Shekhawat has been asked to ride his mounts judiciously in future.
